Volume 1: In 1981, I entered the field of vocal coaching/teaching/building. At that time, there was no way to detect that the path I was on would lead me to a potential scientific/therapeutic application of my artistic endeavors. That was the farthest thing from my mind. All along the way, we've had one amazing surprise after another surfacing in our private sessions. To be sure, there were sign posts all along the way, but the concepts basically sat and stewed for about 10 years--my breaks were on--nothing came to fruition from it until I gave my first series of Master Classes in Vocal Training at AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA). Following that first seminar, the concepts related to "Oxygen-to-Tisue," first surfaced and indeed became a focus point. Significantly apparent among some participants, therapeutic benefits were occuring from our training techniques. Obviously, this was an issue we could no longer avoid. Skeptical as usual, I challenged all those who approached me with their miracle stories. Therefore, we believe it's time now to join others with similar goals and experiences. We can honestly say that it was neither the founder nor the organization that ignited the driving force behind spending thousands of hours on research and study, developing our vocal curriculum...rather.."the cause." Remember, there's more to life than just living...Try singing! |
