LAUGHTER: THE BEST MEDICINE

Being good-natured has been another blessing in my life - no credit to me. Growing up in Norway with just enough to meet our needs - having a sense of humor certainly came handy. Being the youngest out of five, leftovers was just fine. Lowered expectations were never implied.

Several of my childhood experiences are now embraced in our vocal curriculum and laughter is just one of them. It was simply natural to incorporate laughter at the inception of VOCALCONNECTION as we were assembling topics, themes, and points for our studies.

Inevitably, the surprise expression on my pupils' faces, when laughter is introduced, is noteworthy. Hardy laughter, as well as giggling, are enclosed in our curriculum with a specific purpose in mind; and believe me, those scales are working wonders, expelling sadness, gloom, and depression, loosening up, even removing stage fright and definitely innitiating progress. It is all printed out for participants. You may have read somewhere:

"You can look at it ... You can listen to it ... And you can do it!"

That's right, it's all here.
